After just a few minutes on the new EPOCH Chernarus 're-pack' server you'll notice a number of differences when compared to the server of old. Feel free to post feedback (positive or negative), any questions, ideas for improvement, etc. here.

I tried out base jumping (that is an actual option) off a cliff today. It works, and I only broke half my face.

Sounds worth it Troy.

Noticed there are a number of different vehicles (helis, armored cars, etc.) at the hero trader since the 're-pack' so worth checking out if you haven't. I assume that means they'll be some different options at regular & bandit traders as well.

What do all the different colored circles on the map mean? Some of them are not labeled.

The unlabeled ones are minor missions. Probably just a group of bandits, maybe a vehicle or two.

The server appears to not be resetting. Also DayZLauncher makes it look like the server is down, even though I am able to get on it.

Looks to be back up on Dayz Launcher, it looks fine. Did take me a few tries but was able to get in.

Yea I saw the server not resetting, I restarted it last night manually. I will fix the restart issue tomorrow. I'm flying home from Boston tonight.

Ok, so apparently there is some drama on the Bohemia interactive forums about server monetization caused the guy who runs Battleye extended controls (the program that handles ingame admin commands, restarts, and the scheduled messages) the guy apparently shut the project down in a temper tantrum and made the battleye update servers basically shut down the battleye client as soon as it started. That's the server wasn't restarting. A quick change of the DNS host file, and now battleye looks to my own computer for an update. Screw you battleye, I don't need no stinkin' updates.

Server is working as intended now.

Did some more editing today. Got rid of some of the extra buildings and such that were dragging the performance down, so you may see some framerate improvements. Let me know if it helped. Also, for now, the VIP loadouts are open for use until I figure out what we want to do with them.

Also, good news, it seems like BB is showing up in DayZ commander finally. Check it out and see if you guys see it too. I still recommend DayZ launcher, but it's still a good thing if it's showing up in commander.

So for me both servers are showing up perfectly on Commander & Dayz Launcher. Tried to sign in first on Commander & took 3 times. 1st time session lost & 2nd time booted from battle eye. Got in on first try with Commander. Was daytime with Commander & night time with Dayz Launcher Smile

Finally got some play testing done.  The sniper load out seems too powerful.  A gillie, DMR, Rangefinder and a silenced pistol is a bit much, and makes it rather pointless to scavenge for gear at the beginning.  I tried to do the Bandit Base mission with 2 other guys: we died.  I was expecting a ton of bandits with high lvl gear, but I'm not sure how to deal with the armed Humvee or the Huey flying overhead.  Also we had a RPG shot at us, which was terrifying.

No problems getting into the server but i have noticed some issues that you might be looking to already but thought i'd mention.  There are multiple buildings overlapping each other in places and nearly every vehicle I encounter is locked.  I thought at first it must belong to somebody but some were missing tires and were broken to hell then while i was in the trader post north of the Northwest Airfield i sold some stuff out of my car and when i went back to it, it was locked too, plus i didn't get any of the money from the sales.
Another thing is the trading is very difficult to work, sometimes it won't give me the option to trade and when it does it's for a person i'm not looking at.
After all is said and done though, I'm glad to see the server back up and running again.
P.S. that RPG was terrifying.

I think all the downed cargo planes should be removed from the airfields. It makes the landing autopilot useless.
