Server Down?

It should be up, but without the new AI

Is the new AI system an all or nothing set up or can you tweak things? The problem seems to be that there are too many missions with too many AI and zombies running around.

Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the problem, though I thought it was at first. Something in the mod is causing a driver crash on the machine. The AI is actually running on a completely separate machine, and doesn't cause the server's load to increase at all.

It's probably due to the fact that I didn't reinstall Windows when upgrading the hardware. I did a "dirty swap" by just swapping in the new hardware. This sint the best way to do it, but the fastest, so therefore less downtime. Apparently it didn't work out as well as I'd hoped, so I'm going to have to do a full reinstall of windows to clean it up.

And that will take the better part of a day?

Did it show me as connected before it crashed, Dave? I tried to connect at the same time it crashed it seems like.

no it seems to me like it happens when the mission load. noticed it earlier today

Should be back up now. Rolled the old mission system back in. This may take longer than I'd hoped.

no, it seems like when a bunch of them spawn and the ai start moving around the map......then it goes poof

I haven't seen anything in the logs indicating what you're saying. A bunch, as in how many?

like 4 sunken ships, 2-3 ai taking towns, 2-3 ai truck patrols, 2 heli patrols, 2-3 free gas, maybe like 1-2 other random missions. also some of the missions have an ass ton of ai (armed and un armed) like around 20. plus the random group of 2-3 ai that randomly spawn while im just standing there. so seems like alot is going on then poof server goes down.

But it was running for hours with that many AI. Are you saying there weren't that many before?

no both times i logged on today when you had the new stuff on, there were no missions for a few minutes. then they would start to show up and ai started to roam near me. then a few minutes later it crashed.

That is odd...

Joel and Groot reported playing for a few hours today with the new ai with no server crashes or fps drops.

That's what I thought, glory. It ran for several hours earlier today.

I suppose we could also look into running VEMF ai/missions instead of the FuMS?

I tried to log in and it kicked me "session lost." Now it looks like the server is down.

I sat and waited for like 20 minutes to see if anyone was going to come online and nobody did... And as soon as I run the shutdown, you log in lol... I'll bring it back up.

so server just went down, once again it was as soon as the ai and missions loaded in

I logged in and the server crashed 30 seconds later.

The server appears to be down.
