Here, You can let me know what you think about the server. Is it too hard? Too easy? Too buggy? Anything you want. This is the complaint department. Thanks!

When are people usually on? I haven't seen too many people around.

The server is only a month old. We are working on getting a decent community. The only way to do that is if you tell your friends and anybody you play DayZ with to come join you!

That being said, people generally come around at about 4pm server time, from my experience.

How often do cars spawn? I'm looking for something like the Ural Civilian but I can't find one at it's normal spawn point.

Cars spawn as soon as they are destroyed and the server restarts. If they are not at their spawn points, someone else must already have them. I'll consider adding more spawns.

Well, after getting killed by my base, and passing out from one zombie hitting me, then continued to hit me while im down till i died twice... im not feeling to well anymore.. oh, and my ural and offroad are prolly gone too

A little more explanation?

Well, after fighting the upgraded bandits, i went for some meds supplies in starys military base. one zombie aggrod me and instantly knocked me out when he hit me, i was passed out the whole time he hit me, until i died...

Oh. That's just part of the game man. I can't tell you how many times Thats happened to me, even on a bone stock server lol.

What is the server limit?  DayZ Commander is telling me it's full when there are only 8 people on.

I got on later and the server wasn't letting more than 8 people on at a time.

Hey jsut to back up what torg said im finding that the servers are seemingly capped at 8. You have intrest man just need to expand the limit

I found an IR Target Strobe. What does this thing do?

Its a strobe light that is only visible under infrared (night vision) used for marking targets. I wasn't even aware they were available in-game. Try throwing it on the ground.

And looking at it with night vision goggles if you have them. Its pretty wild.

I found it on a bandit that was in this weird looking base.  Probably a costum one.  There wasn't even a mission near the place when I killed him.

Is it possible to add a zone where we can kill each other without losing humanity? Or better yet our stuff?

Unfortunately no. The game just simply doesn't support it. I'd have to run an entirely seperate server, and just spawn you with everything you could want, and do it deathmatch style like that.

So today was magical.  Shadow's personal gas station blew up somehow, destroying his chopper and 4 of his cars, his dome killed me while I was still on the main road gawking at the GIANT fireball, and my white UAZ and my yellow Urel both disappeared from my base.  Dayz, you are awful sometimes.


Oh, and we might have our first bandit on the server, although he didn't have anything to do with the above.

I was just wondering if this server will be transferred to the standalone at some point.

No. Not in the near future at least. DayZ standalone at this time does not allow unofficial servers, and they do not allow self-hosting. To have a DayZ standalone server, you have to buy one from three specific hosting companies. Since I host this server myself, we will not be moving to the standalone. Also, frankly the standalone is more buggy than the mod, and I'm not prepared to deal with that lol. If and when they decide to open up self-hosted solutions, I will consider it.

There seems to be a lack of cars around.  Do some people still have most of them?

Is it possible to increase the number of tents that spawn?

How long will a player base have to be abandoned before/if you delete it? Running into a random dome while your trying to get somewhere is kind of annoying.
